Griffith Ranch
The Griffith Ranch & Training Stables is a western horse ranch dedicated to the preservation of traditional ranching and western riding practices. We are an open and welcoming community of ranchers and individuals interested in ranching culture.
Their mission is to train ranch horses and help people utilize traditional ranching practices to enhance the connection between horse and rider and keep working ranch horses in the modern world.
The Griffith Ranch is already leading the charge in mental health strengthening by helping first responders and personal returning to civilian life with their established Veterans Program.
Through this program and the hard work that ranch life requires to run successfully, participants learn to focus on trusting not only themselves, but placing their trust into an equine partner and ultimately, focus them on the bigger picture, enjoying and being successful in their life.
Through their partnership with us, they have graciously brought our officers the opportunity to work in a similar fashion with them on their ranch.
Blue Line Fitness Testing
The only company in Alberta solely dedicated to the field of physical fitness and abilities testing specifically for the law enforcement community.
Blue Line’s goal is to help give new officers a solid start by getting their bodies ready to run the courses needed to join their chosen organization, but she doesn’t forget mental strength either though.
Blue Line offers our officers yoga, workshops, educational podcasts and much more to keep them moving forward in their field.
Abundant Peace Internal Arts School
The Internal Arts teach us to tune into and access these greater natural forces, using them as our source of power, stamina and health.
By learning to develop the mind-body connection, you have the tools to take charge of your health and access innate, natural wisdom, leading to greater balance and harmony for your life as a whole.
The Internal Arts, or “soft technologies”, offered at their school include Aikido, Tai Chi, Chi Gong (Qigong) and Meditation. Each art, though sharing the same Life-Enhancing goals, is unique enough to appeal to different personalities and interests.
By enabling our officers to join in these programs, balance can be restored and a sense of accomplishment and general wellbeing.
The First Responder Resiliency Project
The First Responder Resiliency Project is a peer support based not for profit led BY First Responders FOR First Responders, which takes First Responders into the backcountry of Alberta for multi day trips with a mental health and resiliency focus.
Amazing Views. Connection. Quiet. Camaraderie. Reflection. Friendship.
This is what The First Responder Resiliency Project has, in true nature of first responders, extended to their distant cousins behind the fence, the corrections officers of Edmonton Maximum Security Institution.

By offering their services, they help establish an overall balance, well-being and resilience.
theus Svoboda Photography
As a self taught student of photography, theus has always had a fascination with microphotography. Pictures of salt crystals are not outside of his realm of interest. In the last decade, he has expanded his expertise to include the very convoluted subject of animals.
As a longtime supporter of correctional officers, it was a no brainer that theus would join ranks with CX Solid to become their official photographer. Snapping pictures where ever there is a picture to snap, you will find theus at most events with at least 1 camera hanging around his neck!
3 Painted Ponies
Ann is a certified Equine Assisted Learning facilitator who came on board with us to offer our officers her services with helping them build and maintain their resiliency through the use of her 4 legged partners.
Through experiential learning exercises, equine specialists are able to observe non-verbal communication of the horse and be a translator as well as a guide to encourage the learner to attain the outcome of each exercise. This ensures that the participants retain and understand the skills learned.
Peak Equestrian
Peak Equestrian is a certified Equine Assisted Learning facilitator that works with first responders and more specifically correctional officers to help them along their path to healing.
Peak Equestrian invites officers at all CSC sites the opportunity to join in on this program, not only when in crisis, but at various stages in their careers to keep their mental strength strong and stable.
Experiential learning-combined with equine educators- help challenge participants to work towards self examination and personal growth. In other words, the horses are your teachers, not the humans!
Haven
Haven has stepped forward to offer a unique and fun way to healing. Art therapy is offered to CX who have experienced trauma and/or are finding it difficult to cope.
Art therapy can be utilized for those that find it difficult to find the words to fully describe experiences. The adage, ‘ a picture is worth a thousand words’ is why creative expression works here.
