Our Board of Directors

Stacie serves as a correctional officer with the Correctional Service Canada, accumulating 15 years of experience. Throughout her tenure, she’s encountered incidents that might seem like fictional tales to the average person.

Stacie boasts a diverse background, primarily in the animal industry, where her horses and dogs hold significant places in her heart. Since the inception of CX Solid, Stacie has begun to take horses to Edmonton Max for mental wellness breaks for officers and institutional staff. She was also certified in Equine Assisted Learning so as to offer officers hands on learning with the horses they have grown to know and love.

We are excited to announce that a longtime supporter and cheerleader for CX Solid has joined our ranks!

Karlina has been there from the start in both a volunteer and idea capacity. Her passion for mental health has been paramount to bringing awareness to helping us end the stigma that is attached to it by bringing awareness to the problem

Coming from a management and retail background, she brings us a wealth of knowledge in sales and social media usage.

Theus is the newest official member of our board, having already contributed behind the scenes since the beginning. With his strong background in computers and photography,  he brings a valuable blend of creativity and technical expertise, helping turn ideas into results quickly.

Stacie's Idea Takes Root...

During a single shift, three different officers approached me to discuss their stress and how they were struggling to manage it. One officer, in particular, seemed overwhelmed, so I invited him over for coffee. As we talked, I noticed how my pets, especially my little dog, helped him relax. This experience sparked an idea: using animals to support individuals facing high-stress situations.

Initially, I considered inviting officers to my home to spend time with my dogs and horses, but I realized that approach wasn’t practical. Around the same time, I learned about Equine Wellness programs and recognized its potential for officers dealing with significant stress. However, the high cost of such programs, coupled with the lack of insurance coverage, made it inaccessible for many.

Determined to find a solution, I reached out to several other people that had a similar interest and together, we came up with the dynamic of CX Solid Foundation which gives officers an opportunity to access affordable alternative wellness programs.

Navigating the complexities of establishing a nonprofit was a challenge, but we persevered. Today, we are proud to introduce CX Solid Foundation, an official nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting correctional officers by offering them  proactive, alternative methods to cope with stress and improve their mental well-being.
